WICKLOW, N.B. – A car that collided with a potato truck on Route 130 caught fire in Wicklow, near Florencville-Bristol Wednesday morning.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was able to escape the car before it caught fire.
He was transported to hospital with injuries “believed to be non life-threatening,” according to a release from RCMP.
The car was completely destroyed.
RCMP say an early investigation indicates that excessive speed and reduced visibility due to fog were contributing factors.
The driver has been fined under the Motor Vehicle Act and the investigation continues.
