Koh-Kae recalls peanut snacks that contain milk not declared on the label

OTTAWA – Koh-Kae is recalling its shrimp and chicken flavoured peanut snacks because they may contain milk that is not declared on the label.

The product could pose a serious health threat to people with milk allergies, however no illnesses have so far been linked to the snacks.

The products were sold in 230 and 240 gram packages and distributed in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and possibly other provinces.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says it is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
