The controversial and much delayed Peace Bridge will finally open to the public on March 24th, and Calgarians are invited to join the celebration.
The pathway and parkland at the south end of the bridge will be the site of a celebration with live bands and food trucks, on Saturday March 24th at 2 p.m.
The party will kick off with a First Nations Elder blessing of the bridge. Stilt walkers will lead a parade of pedestrians, cyclists and special guests across the bridge to officially mark the opening.
Information on the opening event, site access and available parking will be on www.calgary.ca starting Monday.
