Crash involving motorcycle in central Edmonton sends 3 to hospital

EDMONTON — Three people were sent to hospital Tuesday afternoon after a serious collision between an SUV and a motorcycle.

The crash happened in the area of 119 Street and 108 Avenue at around 1:35 p.m.

A man and woman were on the motorcycle at the time. Police said the man was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The woman’s injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, police said in a media release.

The man driving the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are asking drivers to avoid 119 Street between 107 Avenue and 111 Avenue for the next several hours.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
