2 Lethbridge residents charged after cocaine, meth and pills seized

EDMONTON – Two Lethbridge residents are facing a number of drug-related offences after a traffic stop resulted in cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription pills being seized.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) made the arrests and seizure on Sept. 17 in Claresholm, Alta.

Mark Brown, 45, was driving the vehicle. He is facing 12 drug and weapons-related charges. Rose Long Time Squirrel, 45, was the passenger. She is charged with possession of crack cocaine.

Brown and Long Time Squirrel were both released from custody and set to appear in court on Oct. 2 and 16, respectively.

A search of the vehicle found:

  • 233 grams of crack cocaine
  • 26 grams of powder cocaine
  • 56 grams of methamphetamine
  • 117 illicit prescription pills
  • Various weapons, including a replica handgun

ALERT said the drugs have an estimated street value of over $15,000.

The investigation began in August after ALERT received information about Brown’s alleged drug trafficking activities.
