The former Canada Post building at 245 Smith Street has been delayed more than a year and $75 million over budget. Winnipeg police will take possession of the renovated building Dec. 15 but aren’t expected to move in until Dec. 21 on a staggered basis.
Once the move is over 14 divisions of the Winnipeg Police Service will call the building home.
The new headquarters has a “useful life of 50 years” according to a news release from Winnipeg police on Thursday afternoon.
