One man injured in LaSalle gunfire

LASALLE – One man has been injured after being shot near the Aquadôme in LaSalle.

Around 1 p.m., police received a phone call from a LaSalle resident who said they heard noises that resembled gunshots.

“On the scene, police located a man with injuries,” said Andre Leclerc with Montreal police.

The 36-year-old victim, who suffered bullet wounds to his side, was found in the parking lot of the Aquadôme.

He was still conscious at the time.

The man is now being treated by paramedics.

Officers are searching for two suspects.

They revealed one of them is a Caucasian male, 5″8, with short brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt with a black shirt on top and a black baseball cap.

“The suspect was seen fleeing the scene and running through Angrignon park,” said Leclerc.

A description of the second suspect was not provided.

A perimeter has been established in the area.
