VERNON — Vernon’s mayor was in court Thursday, facing two counts of failing to comply with the Income Tax Act.
Akbal Singh Mund insists he has paid all of his taxes and has nothing hide.

Mund says the matter is about failing to file the proper paperwork that dealt with the sale of his Wendy’s franchise in 2012 and 2013.
He says he and his lawyer are working to get all the proper paperwork to Revenue Canada.
Mund was elected into office November 2014.
