Controversy over BC Ferries sale
One of BC Ferries’ best-known ships has a new owner, but not everyone is happy about the sale.
The Queen of Chilliwack ran the central coast route, but was decommissioned during the cost-savings service cuts.
Five years ago it was given $15 million in upgrades, but the province is not saying how much it sold the vessel for at this time.
The ferry corporation says it is still in the process of selling two other boats and disclosing what was paid for this one could undermine negotiations.
