CALGARY – Two people were rushed to hospital on Saturday after a semi-trailer collided with a CP Rail train in southern Alberta.

It happened at around 10 a.m. near the hamlet of Tilley, located between Brooks and Medicine Hat.

Police say the impact flipped the semi-trailer and split it.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and rushed to hospital in Brooks.

A passenger was also taken to hospital in Brooks suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Tilley is located about 200 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
