While campaigning in Vancouver, celebrity interviewer Nardwuar the Human Serviette brought some levity to Justin Trudeau’s campaign.
Holding a pile of retro Trudeau memorabilia, including a Pierre Trudeau campaign sign and some novelty records, Nardwuar grabbed the mic and proceeded to explain to Trudeau about his “rich, rich rock and roll tradition.”
Nardwuar also pulled out a dressup doll book with the dress up doll being a cartoon cutout of Pierre Trudeau. The current Liberal leader digitized the memorabilia: “I believe I have an app for that now.”
Finally, Nardwuar got to the point of his entrance into the crowded media availability, asking Trudeau to do the “Hip Flip” with him. Paul Martin, Jean Chretien, Michael Ignatieff and Jack Layton all played the game that requires two people to use their hips to flip a plastic piece around a stick.
