SASKATOON – A frost advisory has been issued for areas around Saskatoon including Martensville, Warman, Delisle, Prince Albert and other parts of central and east-central Saskatchewan. Environment Canada says frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.
A ridge of high pressure will bring clearing skies and diminishing winds to areas north of the Yellowhead highway Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. As a result, frost is expected in much of the northern grainbelt.

The high pressure is expected to continue to dominate the airmass into Wednesday night with an even greater chance of frost expected across the region and even possibly in Saskatoon by Thursday morning.
Environment Canada recommends taking preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
Frost advisories are issued by Environment Canada when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
