Historical sexual assault case back in Lethbridge court

LETHBRIDGE- The case of a Halifax man accused of sexually assaulting three young girls in Lethbridge over ten years ago was put before the courts Wednesday.

Fifty-six-year old Michael Charles Chute is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

Chute has returned home to Halifax, but his lawyer elected for a trial by judge and jury, with a preliminary trial set first to determine if there is enough evidence to move forward.

The date for the preliminary trial has not yet been set.
