Arson suspected in Sherbrooke car fires

WATCH ABOVE: Sherbrooke police are investigating what is being called a suspicious fire, after three cars were torched overnight.

SHERBROOKE – Three vehicles were set on fire near a residential building on St-Joseph Street in Sherbrooke overnight.

Firefighters were called to the scene and three fire trucks were needed to put out the blaze.

Two of the cars were destroyed and one was heavily damaged in the fire. The adjacent building was also lightly damaged.

Sherbrooke police were called in after firefighters deemed the fire suspicious.

A security perimeter was erected and police are investigating.

As of yet, there are no suspects and no clear motive.
