Weekend hail hammers hundreds of vehicles north of Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – The skies may have cleared over southern Manitoba but the damage from a weekend storm is still being tallied.

Manitoba Public Insurance says so far a little more than 300 hail claims have been made Monday.

Based on the amount of claims, the crown corporation says the hardest hit areas were Teulon, Beaconia Beach and Silver Falls.

If your vehicle was damaged, MPI encourages people to make a claim as soon as possible.

So far this year MPI has received around 8,000 claims, which is on par with previous years.
