Standoff ends in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood

SASKATOON – A standoff ended Wednesday afternoon in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood, according to Saskatoon police.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., an officer with the guns and gangs unit spotted a person who was known to have warrants for his arrest. The suspect went into a house in the 100-block of Avenue O South and did not exit.

Police say they executed a “Feeney” warrant with the assistance of the police dog unit, the tactical safety unit and crisis negotiators. A number of individuals from the house have been detained.

Officers have cleared the residence.
