WINDSOR, Ont. — Police say a man has been charged for plotting an elaborate scheme to abduct and murder two young women in Windsor, Ont.
An investigation began in late July when an officer found online postings involving the intended victims and discussed the suspect’s plans with him while undercover.
Officers say the plan included breaking into a home where the two women live in order to gather information, then later taking them to a remote location to kill them.
The suspect met with the undercover officer who helped him buy supplies to execute the break-in, then agreed to meet him before the planned break-in on Saturday night.
Police say 27-year-old Peter Bandulj was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. and has been charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and three counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
Investigators say Bandulj and the two intended victims — a teenaged girl and a woman under 20 — were all Windsor residents and knew each other from the community.
