Wanted man subdued by staff after altercation

SASKATOON – A 24-year-old man was arrested after an altercation that took place at an establishment early Sunday morning. Saskatoon police say he was also wanted on several unrelated arrest warrants.

Shortly after 2 a.m., officers were called to what was described as a stabbing in the 300-block of Pacific Avenue.

A 25-year-old employee of the establishment suffered a cut to his arm. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening and he was treated at the scene by MD Ambulance personnel.

Other staff members were able to subdue the suspect until police arrived.

He is facing charges of assault with a weapon and obstruction. He is expected to see a justice of the peace Sunday.
