WINNIPEG – Former Prime Minister Paul Martin will be making a stop in Winnipeg on Monday.
His visit comes just days after Prime Minister Stephen Harper hit the city for a Conservative rally.
Martin will be here to help give the Liberals a boost in at least one riding.
The campaign team for Winnipeg South Centre candidate Jim Carr said Paul Martin, Canada’s last Liberal prime minister, will be at Carr’s campaign office at 545 Academy Rd. at 9 a.m. Monday.
That riding is currently held by Conservative MP Joyce Bateman who is seeking re-election.
Before she was elected into office back in 2011, the riding had long been held by the Liberals.
