Federal Election 2015: Pickering-Uxbridge riding results

Real time live results available on Monday, October 19 2015 after polls close. Overall results will be available here.

Summary: This new riding unites the city of Pickering into a single riding. Conservative MP Corneliu Chisu, first elected to Parliament in the former riding of Pickering-Scarborough East in 2011, is seeking re-election here.

Boundaries: This new riding combines Pickering with the township of Uxbridge to the north. Residents here were formerly represented by three different ridings, Pickering-Scarborough East, Ajax-Pickering, and Durham.

Last Election: If this riding existed in 2011, the Conservatives would have earned 46.0 per cent of the vote, followed by the Liberals with 33.6 per cent.

History: The northern half of this new riding has elected only Conservative MPs since 2004, but the two ridings that used to cover Pickering are recent converts. Both elected Conservatives in 2011, but had been Liberal for three elections before that.
