Summary: Occupying most of the previous riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, Conservative MP Scott Reid seeks his sixth term in this large, predominantly rural riding.

Boundaries: An “r” shaped riding to the north of Kingston, Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston includes all of Frontenac County north from Highway 401, along with the Country of Lanark. It includes much of the previous riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, along with small parts of Carleton-Mississippi Mills to the east and Kingston and the Islands to the south.

Last Election: Reid, one of the party’s two Ontario MPs who have served since 2000, defeated NDP candidate Doug Smyth by 36.6 per cent.

History: Reid has held this riding since 2000. Prior to that, it was won by the Liberals in the 1993 and 1997—but outside of that, this region elected Progressive Conservative candidates for decades.

Demographics: English is the first language of 93.1 per cent of people, fourth highest in Ontario, while the median age of 46.3 is eighth highest.
