No competition show in recent memory has quite captured the public’s attention and become part of the pop culture zeitgeist as quickly as Lip Sync Battle. So far, we’ve been treated to such gems as Anne Hathaway channelling Miley Cyrus by swinging on a wrecking ball and Anna Kendrick joined on stage by Jennifer Lopez during a performance of “Big Booty.”

But one guest we’ve yet to see grace the stage of the show hosted by LL Cool J is LL’s own NCIS: LA co-star Chris O’Donnell and LL wants to change that. In fact, he has a song he think would be perfect for Chris. “I’d probably have him do ‘Straight Outta Compton’,” LL revealed during an interview with ET Canada’s Erin Cebula in Los Angeles. “’Straight Outta Compton’ from him? Hilarious!”

O’Donnell seems somewhat open to the idea. “I don’t know what penny loafers I’d wear for that.” Both guys cracked up at the image of Chris tackling the classic track from gangsta rap pioneers, NWA.

LL said while audiences may be having a blast watching the show, nobody’s having more fun than him: “It’s been a joy just seeing people do the silliest things you can imagine and they’re not afraid.”

Not to be outdone by the success of Lip Sync Battle, O’Donnell has a competition show idea of his own. “I’m actually doing a show called Mime Battle,” he joked. “We haven’t been able to sell it yet, but we’re pitching. I’m telling you, Mime Battle’s on fire.”

No word on if we’ll ever actually see O’Donnell doing “Straight Outta Compton” on Lip Sync Battle (or his own show Mime Battle), but you can catch the guys on NCIS: LA when it returns to Global for Season 7 this fall.
