It took a little bit of prying from Seth Meyers but the host pulled through in the end. When Winona Ryder stopped by Late Night on Monday, the actress confirmed the news everyone’s been waiting to hear – the Beetlejuice sequel is a go.

“I think I can confirm it” Ryder answered after Meyers probed for confirmation.
It was very hush-hush, top secret,” she continued. “I really don’t know much more about it than anyone else.”

Tim Burton was first to confirm the reboot – and Ryder’s participation – in an interview with MTV last December. “Oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah,” he said when asked whether the remake was happening. “Oh yeah, oh yeah. Yeah yeah, oh yeah.”
