Summary: This is a new riding for 2015, in the southwest of Quebec, bounded by Ontario in the west and the United States in the south. It will be a rematch between NDP MP Anne Minh Thu Quach, who won the former riding of Beauharnois-Salaberry in 2011, and the woman she defeated, Claude DeBellefeuille, who held that seat for the Bloc Québécois from 2006 to 2011.
Boundaries: This riding is comprised mainly of the western portion of the former Beauharnois—Salaberry riding, but it adds an area on the opposite side of the St. Lawrence River which was formerly part of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. It includes Saint Rédempteur and Saint-Clet on the north side, and Beauharnois, Hemmingford, and Huntingdon on the south side.
