Summary: NDP MP Anne-Marie Day defeated the Conservative incumbent to win this seat in 2011. She is seeking re-election.

Boundaries: This is one of six Quebec City ridings, and includes Le Plateau, Château-Bigot, and Saint-Émile. It sees a minor boundary adjustment with neighbouring Louis-Saint-Laurent riding for this election.

Last Election: NDP Day won with 45.0 per cent of the vote, compared to 30.3 percent for Conservative Daniel Petit.

History: This area elected Bloc Québécois MP’s from 1993 until 2006, when Daniel Petit took the seat for the Conservatives. Petit won again in 2008, but could not withstand the orange wave of 2011.
