Summary: One of the few Saskatchewan ridings relatively unchanged in redistribution, Randy Hoback seeks re-election for a third term in Prince Albert.

Boundaries: Primarily limited to the city of Prince Albert itself, but also extends eastward to include Melfort and other nearby towns.

Last Election: Hoback defeated NDP candidate Valerie Mushinski by 30.4 per cent.

History: Prince Albert has been held by the Reform/Alliance/Conservative parties since 1997, but was also held by NDP MP Stanley Hovdebo from 1979 to 1993.

Prince Albert was also the longtime constituency for two Prime Ministers—Mackenzie King from 1926 to 1945, and John Diefenbaker from 1953 to 1979.

Demographics: 29.2 per cent of people identified as Aboriginal in the 2011 National Household Survey, the second highest number in Saskatchewan.

Conservative: Randy Hoback, MP since 2008

NDP: Lon Borgerson, former MLA and Minister of Regional Economic & Cooperative Development

Liberal: Gordon Kirkby, former Mayor (1988-1993) and MP (1993-1997) for Prince Albert.

Green: Byron Tenkink, manager of A&B Rubber Paving
