It appears some people on the North Shore are enjoying the outdoors a little too much this long weekend.
The District of North Vancouver Fire Department has had to make five rescues today.
One of the cases came when crews rescued a man who separated his shoulder while jumping off the Twin Falls bridge in Lynn Canyon.
“It’s difficult. You come down here and you see thousands of people in the park, and the signs and dangers are obvious,” says Assistant Fire Chief Mike Cairns.

While the rescue was going on, he was warning the long line of people waiting to jump off the Twin Falls bridge to avoid the risk.
Few would listen.
“They’re going to keep jumping, right off the bridge, while we were there, performing our rescue.”
Later that afternoon, Cairns’ crews were called out to Lynn Canyon again – this time, for a woman found with a back injury at the bottom of a 90-foot-pool.
