VERNON – Vernon voters trying to decide how to cast their ballot in the federal election will get a chance to hear directly from candidates running in the North Okanagan – Shuswap riding. An election forum will be held at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on September 14 at 7:00 p.m.
Candidates are vying to replace longtime Conservative MP Colin Mayes who is not running again.
The forum is free to attend but will also serve as a fundraiser. Donations will be collected for the Performing Arts Centre Society’s Children’s Theatre Fund. It helps send needy families to performances.
