WATCH: Cara Delevingne slammed for being tired, sarcastic on live TV

TORONTO — A California TV station’s interview with actress Cara Delevingne last week has gone viral after the hosts slammed the 22-year-old for being tired and sarcastic.

Delevingne appeared via satellite on July 22 on Good Day Sacramento to promote Paper Towns, which had its New York City premiere the previous night.

Co-anchors Marianne McClary and Ken Rudulph were not impressed by Delevingne’s sarcastic responses to their questions.

Asked by McClary if she read the John Green book upon which the movie is based, Delevingne replied: “No, I never read the book, or the script actually. I kind of winged it. No, of course I read the book.”

She answered a question from Rudulph with “I don’t know where that comes from.”

Asked if she had anything in common with her character Margo, the British star replied: “No, I actually hate her. No, of course we have a lot in common.”

Good Day Sacramento entertainment anchor Mark S. Allen jumped in with sarcasm of his own, complimenting the movie for young characters who “speak like middle-age screenwriters.” He then accused Delevingne of not being as excited about the movie as she was in an interview a week earlier.

“I’m still very excited,” she said. “Maybe I had a bit more energy. It’s the morning.”

McClary decided to call the actress out on live TV.

“You do seem a bit irritated,” she said. “Perhaps it’s just us.”

Delevingne shot back. “I think it’s just you.”

“We’ll let you go, then, how about that?,” said McClary. “We’ll let you take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull, how about that?”

Clearly annoyed, Delevingne sat stone-faced until the feed to the CBS station was cut off.

The morning show anchors continued to slam their celebrity guest.

“She was in a mood! Everything sarcastic,” McClary noted. “They sit through all these interviews from 800 TV stations but still…”

Allen added: “You make $5 million for six weeks worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some oomph.”

On Wednesday, Delevingne defended herself on Twitter, where she also got some celebrity support.
