WINNIPEG — A 42-year-old Ohio man now faces criminal charges related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse imagery.
The Winnipeg Police Service was contacted by law enforcement in Ohio about an on-going investigation in the distribution of child sexual abuse imagery. Authorities determined that the suspect in the investigation was in Winnipeg on business.

The Winnipeg police, working with the Canada Border Services Agency found and arrested Darren Eccles on July 17 near a downtown hotel.
Eccles remains in the custody of the Canada Border Services Agency.
