SASKATOON – Six inmates have been charged following an escape attempt at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre. Police were called to the facility just after 11 p.m. Tuesday for a disturbance.
Officers assist correctional staff in securing the facility in the North Industrial area.
The situation was brought under control a few hours later.
The six men, ranging in age from 18 to 31, have been charged with escaping custody and mischief over $5,000.
They will make their second court appearance on July 27.

After the disturbance, 15 inmates were moved to other facilities in the province.
