The roof of the historic Alberta Pacific Grain elevator, built in 1928 and closed in 1961, was torn off the building with much of it landing in a nearby pasture, according to Global News viewer Jim Pearson.

“The shingles of the historic Dorothy Catholic Church were also ripped off at least a quarter of the roof and were spread over an area to the east of the building,” wrote Pearson in an email to Global News.
