TORONTO –  Toronto Pan Am Games traffic has forced the cancellation of more than a thousand Ontario driver’s licence road tests in July.

The province says 1137 would-be motorists have been inconvenienced by the Games and were offered the option of either rescheduling or taking the test at an alternative location.

“To accommodate some Pan Am events that are happening near the five Drive Test centres, road tests are being rescheduled on select days between July 10-26,” said the Ontario Ministry of Transportation in a statement.

The five Drive Test Centres affected by the cancellation include: Etobicoke, Metro East, Oshawa, Port Union and Downsview.

Licence seekers have also been given the option of completing their road test at the Oshawa location on two designated Saturdays in July.

The Ministry of Transportation says customers have already been contacted and those that could not be reached can show up at the test centre to have their date rebooked.
