Rockets Alumni Foundation gets boost to help Okanagan children with autism

KELOWNA — The Kelowna Rockets Alumni Foundation’s effort to raise $100,000 over the next three years for the Canucks Autism Network got a boost. The organization held its fifteenth annual golf tournament Friday morning. Former and current players, coaches scouts, management and fans took part in the event.

“Scotiabank kicked off the day with a $15,000 matching donation after Thursday night’s auction events at the VIP Reception raised thousands of dollars,” says Kevin Parnell with the Kelowna Rockets Hockey Club.

Parnell says all of the money raised goes towards helping Okanagan children with autism enter hockey programs.
