Yoda the cat needs a little help from the public to get him back on his feet.
The one-year-old tabby was hit by a car and brought to the Nanaimo SPCA. The accident fractured Yoda’s pelvis and femur, leaving him unable to stand or walk.
“Despite his painful injuries, Yoda is a real sweetheart,” says BC SPCA Nanaimo and District Branch manager Leon Davis. “He purrs like a car engine when given snuggles. His prognosis is excellent, but he needs a pin for his leg and a plate for his pelvis.”

Yoda also requires medication, vaccinations, regular health checks and daily care until he’s ready for adoption in about six to eight weeks.
It is estimated the cost of his care is about $3,500.
“We just want Yoda to have the chance to live a mobile, pain-free life and we’re hoping animal lovers out there will help make that happen,” says Daivs.
