MONTREAL – There is a water main break at the corner of Sherbrooke street Ouest and University street, right in the middle of downtown.
The break is a major one, although there have been no reported flooding in nearby buildings – notably, part of McGill University campus and the F.A.C.E school.
“Montreal police have not closed off any streets,” said spokesperson Abdullah Emran at 5 a.m.
“Right now, there is no impact on any circulation in the area.”

That may change after Public Works is sent to repair the break.
