TORONTO — One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is going to be dad, according to a report.
The 23-year-old is expecting a baby with L.A. stylist Briana Jungwirth, People reported Tuesday.
“Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother,” the magazine quoted an identified mutual friend as saying.
“It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer.”
People said Tomlinson and Jungwirth dated in May, following his split from girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
A rep for the British singer declined to comment.
On April Fools’ Day in 2012, Tomlinson tweeted: “Can’t believe I’m going to be a Dad! Wow!!”
On Wednesday, British comedian David Walliams had some fun with the baby buzz.
