TORONTO — Rental apartments in Toronto are at a premium, especially in the downtown core. But one apartment for rent in the city’s Koreatown neighbourhood is being ridiculed online for its lackluster looks and uninspired listing.
Posted on Kijiji on July 2, the five bedroom apartment at 655 Manning Ave. received some harsh critcism from Reddit users for its drab decor and minimalist furnishings.
“Are these crime scene photos? Or are they advertising a meth lab, or meth lab opportunity?,” wrote Reddit poster DrGrinch.
“Wow I smell a Landlord & Tenant Board Dispute coming up. Clearly for students,” said user teaoh.
“I know the people who lived there last year. It’s just as bad as it looks,” wrote architortuuure. “You should see the backyard filled with trash.”
The listing states the apartment offers separate entrances, washer and dryer, central air condition, dishwasher, extra storage room, comes furnished and is pet friendly.
If the photographs don’t draw you in for a visit, maybe the price will. The 1300 square feet unit is listed at $3,100 a month.
