TORONTO – Police have announced the arrest of a foreign visitor from South America for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy at a Toronto pool.
The alleged incident occurred on June 30 around 5:15 p.m. at the community pool at Crescent Town Club and Community Centre in the Crescent Town Rd. and Victoria Park Ave. area.
It is reported the boy was in the pool change room when he was approached by a man and sexually assaulted.
The accused has been identified as Guillermo Hipolito Minan Pinto, 40, from Ecuador.
He has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
Police believe there may be more victims and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
