BC Ferries offers round trip flights to Comox as ferry goes to dry dock

BC Ferries will be offering its customers round trip flights between Powell River and Comox while its route ferry is in dry dock for repairs.

The Queen of Burnaby, which operates on the route, needs to have its propeller hub fixed and BC Ferries’ engineers hope to have it return to service late next week.

Meanwhile, customers will be able to catch a flight once in the morning from Powell River airport and once in the late afternoon from Comox airport.

Free shuttle service from Comox airport will also be offered to destinations in the Comox Valley.

Changes take effect tomorrow and will remain in place until the Queen of Burnaby returns to the Powell River – Comox route.

Flight reservations are mandatory.
