WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg neighbourhood was shocked and shut down in the aftermath of an explosion at a law office.
Police and fire units swarmed the area around 252 River Ave. just after 10 a.m.

A woman in a law office was seriously injured when an “explosive device” detonated, police say.

“It was an explosive device that was triggered inadvertently by this woman,” said Cst. Eric Hofley.
