Firefighters allowed the fire to burn until a SaskEnergy crew arrived. They were unable to locate the shutoff and additional SaskEnergy crews had to be called in to dig up and clamp the ruptured line, which took two hours.

One engine company remained at the scene until the gas was shut off and the fire extinguished.

There were no injuries.
