TORONTO – Firefighters were called to a townhome complex in Scarborough Monday morning for a pickup truck which had caught fire.
They arrived at the scene on Palmdale Drive near Warden Ave. & Sheppard Ave E. at around 4:30 a.m.
Shortly after, there was a loud blast as the pickup exploded, sending crews running.

They quickly got to work to keep the fire from spreading.
No injuries were reported and there was no damage to the townhome complex.
It’s unclear what caused the fire and explosion.
