Brawl behind a Regina motel ends in stabbing

REGINA – A brawl behind a Regina motel Saturday morning ended with at least one person with stab wounds.

Police say a staff member called just before 11:00 a.m. and reported that about a dozen people were involved in a fight that started in two of the rooms at the Coachman Inn on Victoria Avenue.

The fight moved into the back alley behind the Inn. When police arrived, everyone scattered.

A 30-year-old man later checked himself into the Pasqua Hospital with two stab wounds to his upper back. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

At this point no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
