EDMONTON – The Edmonton Eskimos released veteran kicker Damon Duval and signed punter-kicker Eric Wilbur on Wednesday.
Wilbur had 85 punts for 3,651 yards with Hamilton in 2010.
The 27-year-old averaged 43 yards and his longest kick was 69 yards before the Tiger-Cats released him prior to last season.

“We’re very pleased to have Eric sign with us. He’s a very good punter and kickoff specialist and will bring strong competition to those two critical areas of special teams,” said Edmonton general manager Eric Tillman.
Wilbur has also had brief NFL stints with Houston, Jacksonville and the New York Jets. He spent the 2011 season with UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks.
Duval appeared in 18 games and both playoff games with Edmonton last year. He made 23-of-34 field goal attempts and had seven singles.
Duval spent just one season with the Eskimos after playing six seasons with Montreal.
