New app allows users to turn Facebook Timeline profile into movie

TORONTO – A new Facebook app allows users to convert their Facebook Timeline into a movie.

In a joint collaboration with marketing agency Definition 6, Timeline Movie Maker highlights moments from your profile by allowing you to transform your posts, videos and photos into a one-minute film with a soundtrack. 

The announcement was made by Definition 6 chief technology officer Paul Hernacki via Twitter on Monday. “Pure awesomeness- Facebook and @Definition6 are proud to launch http://www.timelinemoviemaker.com – Make an instant movie of your Facebook content,” said the tweet.

Regardless of privacy settings, users will only be able to share their movie with Facebook friends. Movies cannot be embedded or downloaded, but some users have already begun uploading and sharing their videos on YouTube.

On January 24, Facebook announced that old profiles would be forced into the Timeline format in coming weeks.
