STARS airlifts injured woman after moose collision

REGINA – A 44-year-old woman has been flown to Regina after suffering life-threatening injuries when the car she was riding in collided with a moose just west of Theodore, Saskatchewan on Tuesday night.

Police were called to Highway 16 where a 2009 Ford Mustang struck a moose about 4 kilometers outside of Theodore.

The 44-year-old female passenger was transported to a Regina hospital by STARS Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

The male driver – along with three male backseat passengers who were 14,14, and 13 – were all brought to the Yorkton hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP are continuing to investigate the accident but alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
