HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police have released the sketch of a suspect who broke into a woman’s home in the city’s south end as she was sleeping earlier this month.
Officers with the General Investigation Section are hoping the public will be able to help identify the man.
Police say a 20-year-old woman, who lives in the 5600-block of Morris Street, awoke to find a man rummaging through the clothes in her bedroom closet at 6 a.m. on June 6.
She confronted the man, pushed him out of the bedroom and chased him out of the house.
Police believe the man entered the residence through an unlocked door.
Nothing was stolen and the woman was physically uninjured.
The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties, 6-feet tall in height with a slim build and blond curly hair.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing glasses, a dark hoodie with vertical stripes and tight-fitting, light-coloured jeans.
Anyone who recognizes the man can call investigators at 902-490-5016 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
