Driver of car may be charged after collision between vehicle, train

SASKATOON – An investigation has been launched into a collision between a car and a train that occurred Friday in Saskatoon. Police say the vehicle was struck at the railway crossing on Fairlight Drive just north of 11th Street around 10:30 p.m.

Officers are investigating with Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) officials.

The 22-year-old male driver of the car was not injured.

Police say all railway-crossing signaling devices were operating normally at the time of the crash.

Charges against the driver of the car are pending.
