Police charge man suspected of exposing himself to students in south Calgary

CALGARY – Police have arrested a 19-year-old man thought to be connected to a series of indecent acts in the communities of Copperfield and Bridlewood.

Investigators began searching for a suspect after a man was seen touching himself in the 200 block of Copperfield Manor S.E. on Friday, May 29th.

Less than a week later, officers were called to Monsignor J.J. O’Brien Elementary and Junior High School on Bridlewood Road S.W. after a man was caught exposing himself to students.

Police say they have been able to arrest a suspect, thanks to tips from the public.

Steffan Edward Bote, 19, is facing five counts of committing an indecent act to persons under 16 years of age and two counts of committing an indecent act.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 10th, 2015.
